Welcome to Trac for XNET

Welcome to the XNet home page. XNet is a thermonuclear reaction network for astrophysical applications, using the fully Implicit Backward Euler scheme. It is written in portable FORTRAN 90 and makes use of a variety of matrix solving packages to obtain excellent speed (as much as 50% of peak) on as many platforms as possible.

If you're interested in using XNet for science, we now have a public version available to download https://wikihost.nscl.msu.edu/talent/doku.php?id=rxnnetcode. This FORTRAN program allows post-processing nucleosynthesis calculations following pre-calculated thermodynamic histories for arbitrary nuclear reaction networks, using data in the REACLIB format https://groups.nscl.msu.edu/jina/reaclib/db/.
